- 8 ounces cream cheese (1 block Philly) softened
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1-2 ounces sliced pepperoni or to taste
- Fresh basil to taste, optional
Preheat your oven to 350F and move the rack to the top third of the oven.
Add the cream cheese to a medium prep bowl and microwave about 30 seconds or until the cream cheese is softened.
To the same bowl, add in the parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and some salt & pepper. Give it a good stir.
Pour the dip mixture into a 1-quart baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Add the pizza sauce on top of the cream cheese layer.
Sprinkle the mozzarella over top and then add on the pepperoni. Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. You can broil at the end for a couple of minutes if needed (but watch it carefully).
Serve after letting it cool for 5 minutes with fresh basil sprinkled over top if desired, and use baguette slices, pita bread, tortilla chips, veggies, etc. to scoop the dip.
