Why you’ll love it
Rekindle your love of gnocchi with this marry me chicken gnocchi recipe. It’s a stunner of a 30-minute meal that’s indulgent and worthy of guests. Rotisserie chicken makes it so simple, and DeLallo’s gnocchi in particular shine in this union of tasty ingredients.
Pairing the one pan technique with these Italian-inspired flavors is worth celebrating. The sauce has the intense, gorgeous tomato flavor of double concentrated tomato paste, sweet sun-kissed tomatoes ripened in Italy, fresh basil, and parmesan. Buon appetito!
What you’ll need
- Butter – for pan frying
- Tomato paste – using DeLallo’s double concentrated tomato paste ensures tons of richness. Also no waste because it has a screw-top cap!
- Sun-dried tomatoes – DeLallo sun-dried tomatoes are grown and harvested in Italy
- Oregano – more herb-y flavor
- Garlic – aromatic goodness
- Crushed red pepper flakes – they add a nice gentle warmth, not spice
- Dry white wine – use one you’d enjoy drinking like a sauv blanc or pinot grigio
- Chicken broth – for the base of the sauce
- Heavy cream – it’s silky and luxurious
- Gnocchi – the gold standard is DeLallo’s potato gnocchi. It’s shelf stable, and the starch thickens the sauce.
- Chicken – we’re using rotisserie for ease
- Parmesan – the icing on the cake!
- Basil – a pop of freshness

Helpful tips
- As with any one pot recipe, cookware and altitude can affect the timing. Turn up the heat if it’s not absorbing quickly enough, or let it sit longer; and if it’s cooking too fast, add a splash more liquid and/or turn down the heat.
- If you can’t find DeLallo products at your local grocer, you can order online 24/7 straight to your door nationwide! You can also sneak in some treats like Italian cookies and antipasti. I know I would. They’ve been doing affordable gourmet Italian goodies since 1950.
